This Month’s Reading:
When we gather for business meeting, we settle into worship, turning our attention to the business before us. We might come into the meeting with opinions on particular agenda items, but as we worship, we hold our opinions up to the Light. Loosening our grip on opinions, we invite Spirit to give us new insight. We listen deeply to others in the meeting, testing their words against what is being revealed to us. If we speak, we share what Spirit has opened to us. We may feel led to advocate for a certain position, but we avoid adversarial techniques. There are no adversaries in business meeting. We are all on the same side: the side of Truth. Our mission is to discern that Truth.
